President Mulatu concludes official visit to Cuba

Addis Ababa, January 12, 2018 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s President, Mulatu Teshome, is concluding today his official visit to Cuba, where he met with his counterpart, Raul Castro, and paid tribute to National Hero, Jose Marti, and internationalist fighters.

Started on Monday, January 8, President Mulatu's tour of the Caribbean island included a meeting with Raul Castro, in which the two leaders verified the good state of the bilateral ties and reviewed issues of the international agenda.

The African statesman laid a wreath at Jose Marti monument at the Revolution Square and then toured the mausoleum that bears the name of the Apostle in the capital.

President Mulatu also urged to defend the bonds of brotherhood and collaboration between Ethiopia and Cuba during a ceremony in front of the Pantheon of the Fallen in internationalist missions, located at the Christopher Columbus cemetery.

As part of his agenda, he toured the Rosafet Signet Artificial Insemination Center, in western Mayabeque province, to learn about the stallions the institution develops, especially those of the Siboney race, originally from Cuba.
