Ethiopia, Malta concludes double taxation avoidance agreement

Addis Ababa, April 16, 2018 (FBC) –Ethiopia and Malta have concluded an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation during a business seminar held in Valletta, the capital of Malta.

The agreement which was signed at the seminar organized to brief investors on Ethiopia’s investment potential is expected to facilitate trade between the two countries.

Ethiopian delegation led by Dr Aklilu Hailemichael, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, participated at the seminar, jointly organized by the Ethiopian Embassy in Rome, Italy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malta .

The Ethiopian delegation also held discussion with Carmelo Abela, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Malta, on ways to strengthen business and economic ties between the two countries.
