PM Dr Abiy offers condolences over death of Dangote cement plant manager, two other Ethiopians

Addis Ababa, May 17, 2018 (FBC) –Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed today expressed condolences on death of manager of the Dangote cement plant in Ethiopia, Deep Kamara, and two other Ethiopian workers.

“The entire gov’t is shocked and saddened by the barbaric killing of Mr Deep Kamara and his two Ethiopian colleagues,” the Premier said.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and everyone at Dangote,” the Premier added.

PM Dr Abiy noted the government has started investigation and will bring the perpetrators to justice.

Kamra and the two other Ethiopian workers were killed by unknown individuals yesterday.

The cement plant is located in west Shoa zone, Oromia regional state, less than 90km from Addis Ababa.

The plant was commissioned in May 2015 and is the largest cement plant in Ethiopia.
