Indonesian-based pharmaceutical company expresses interest to invest in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, December 7, 2016 (FBC) – Indonesian-based Sanbe pharmaceutical company has expressed interest to invest in Ethiopia.

President and founder of the company, Dr. Jahja Santoso, who was here to visit Ethiopia, held discussion with Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn yesterday.

“We have been exporting medicines and medical equipment to Ethiopia since the past ten years. But now, we have interest to open a factory as Ethiopia has conducive investment situations” he said.

 “We will conduct various studies that will enable us to open the factory,” he added.

During his visit, Dr Santoso conferred with heads of Ministry of Health, Ethiopian Investment Commission and institutions.

During the discussion Prime Minister Hailemariam pledged to offer all the necessary supports for the company, including investment area.
