Leaders congratulate Ethiopia on Nat’l Day

Addis Ababa, May 29, 2017 (FBC) –Leaders of various countries have extended congratulations to the government of Ethiopia on the occasion of its National Day.

In a cable of congratulations sent to President Mulatu Teshome, Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdul-aziz al Saud expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes of the health and happiness for the President.

The King also wished further progress and prosperity for the government and people of Ethiopia.

Similarly, President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a congratulatory cable to President Mulatu on the occasion of his country's National Day.

Speaker the Kuwait National Assembly Marzouq al-Ghanim sent two cables to Speaker of the House of Peoples’ Representatives of Ethiopia, Abadula Gemeda, and Speaker of the House of Federation, Yalew Abate.

The 26th anniversary of Ginbot 20 (May 28), which marks the downfall of the Derg regime, was marked yesterday across the country and abroad.
