1,008 Ethiopians returned home from Saudi Arabia today

Addis Ababa, December 30, 2022 (FBC) – The FDRE Ministry of Women and Social Affairs (MoWSA) stated that 1,008 Ethiopians returned to their country from Saudi Arabia today.

Of the repatriated 1,008 citizens, 695 of them are men, 243 women, 70 infants and juveniles. They were also repatriated in three rounds, according to the Ministry.

MoWSA’s social media post further indicates that the returnees are being cared for through provision of appropriate support and care at the airport and in temporary shelter. They are also being reintegrated with their families.

The Ministry revealed that 21,421 Ethiopians have been repatriated from Saudi Arabia since November 21, 2022.
