4th International PPPEXPO Ethiopia 2023 kicks off

Addis Ababa, January 23, 2023 (FBC) – The 4th International Plastic, Printing and Packaging Trade Exhibition in East African region kicks off today at Millennium Hall, Addis Ababa.

Carmen Dalton, International Exhibitors Consultant at Expogroup, exclusively told FBC that the event provides a common platform at one place and time for the entire industry to showcase their products and meet potential buyers.

Carmen Dalton added that Exhibitors from over 20 countries are participating in the event that is destined to open a whole new world of opportunities and new contacts in the industry.

According to Carmen, the 4th Plastic Printing packages (PPP) Expo 2023 is being conducted after 22 successful editions covering Kenya and Tanzania and coming back to Ethiopia, to be held at The Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa, from 23 – 25 January, 2023.

He further added that the PPPEXPO AFRICA is the dedicated industry for specific international trade show in the Plastics, Printing and Packaging Industry in the entire East African region.

Expogroup has described Ethiopia as one of Africa’s fastest growing economy and experiencing double-digit economic growth every year, for the past decade.

With the government actively pushing for industrialization with a major focus on the manufacturing sector, there is a huge gap to be filled between supply and demand, especially in the plastics, printing and packaging sectors, Expogroup stated.

It is to be recall that Ethiopian government has been offering incentives such as tax free import of machineries and export duty exemptions to promote investment in agro-processing, one of its major sectors having a huge potential of adding value to its agriculture sector, which contributes to 40% of the GDP.

PPPEXPO ETHIOPIA aims to bridge that gap by providing the perfect platform for buyers, sellers and other industry members to witness products and machinery dealing with the complete life cycle of the industry; from raw materials to their processing, printing, labelling and packaging.
