South African President receives briefing on current situation in Ethiopia  

Addis Ababa, November 21, 2020 (FBC) –President Sahle-Work Zewde yesterday held talks with Cyril Ramaphosa, Chair of AU and President of South Africa.

In the discussion, the Ethiopian President provided a briefing to Ramaphosa about the law enforcement operation currently underway in the Tigray regional state.

“The federal government is engaged in a law and order enforcement operation and the perpetrators of these atrocities will be brought to justice,” President Sahle-Work said.

She also thanked President Ramaphosa for facilitating the African Union (AU) led negotiations between Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).
