Regional office announces continued humanitarian assistance to displaced in Afar Region

Addis Ababa, August 16, 2021 (FBC) – Afar Regional State Disaster Risk Management and Food Security Coordination Office announced continued humanitarian assistance to the displaced in various camps in the region who fled their homes duet to terrorist TPLF atrocities and flooding risks.

Head of the Coordination Office, Kulsuma Burhaba told FBC that disaster prevention and control activities are also being carried out in the region based on meteorological forecasting and data collected during previous times.

Besides those who fled their homes due to flooding occurred during the past weeks, there are 11 Woredas prone to the same disaster, the head added.
