Ethiopia, Greece renew commitment strengthen their historical relationship

Addis Ababa, September 14, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to Italy, Demitu Hambisa met with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Hellenic Republic Ambassador Themistoklis Demiris in Athens and discussed on bilateral issues of mutual concern.

During the discussion, Ambassador Demitu briefed the Greek Deputy Foreign Minister on latest developments in Ethiopia, the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) and the Ethiopia-Sudan border dispute.

The two sides highlighted the long lasting bilateral relations between the two countries and agreed to work together to further strengthen the relationship. On his part, Ambassador Demiris thanked for the briefing on the current situation in Ethiopia.

He also assured the Ambassador that his Government will continue to strengthen the historical ties and the cooperation with Ethiopia in different areas to higher level.
