President Sahle-Work Zewde arrives in Nairobi to attend Mwai Kibaki funeral

Addis Ababa, April 28, 2022 (FBC) – President of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya to attend funeral of former Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki.

Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Amina Mohammed warmly welcomed the president upon her arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

President Sahle-Work Zewde put her condolence message praising Kibaki for his leadership of his country.

Leaders of African countries including South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa and his South Sudan counterpart Salva Kiir will attend the funeral service for Mwai Kibaki that will take place tomorrow.
