Addis Ababa inaugurates Washington D.C. Square built in honor of U.S Capital

Addis Ababa, August 19, 2022 (FBC) – Addis Ababa City Administration has inaugurated, among other projects, the Washington D.C. Square built in honor of the U.S. Capital where many Ethiopians and people of Ethiopian origin are living. There is a monument erected in the middle of the square to commemorate the U.S. city.

 

Mayor of Addis Ababa, Adanech Abiebie along with other government officials of the city administration has inaugurated projects built at a total cost of 845 million birr in the capital.

 

The other projects that have been unveiled today is a feeding and life skill training facility built in Kirkos Sub City. This facility is said to have a capacity to feed 500 low income residents twice a day at a time.

 

In addition, two other feeding facilities that can feed a total of 2,000 people at a time have also been inaugurated in the Sub City.

 

The total 105 projects that have been inaugurated today in the sub city are expected to benefit 250,000 residents with a capacity to create jobs for a total of 5,983 people.
