A high-level delegation of Türkiye pays a working visit to Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, January 31, 2023 (FBC) – A high-level delegation of Türkiye led by Deputy Justice Minister Yakup MOGUL has paid a two day working visit to Ethiopia.

The high level delegation which comprised five members has held discussions with the Ethiopian Justice Minister, Gedewon Timothewos and State Minister of Government Law and Justice Services Division, Alemante Agidew on ways of strengthening cooperation in the judicial sector.

According to Ministry of Justice, the two sides explored mechanisms on how to push for approval and respective implementation of cooperation agreements signed between the two countries on extradition and legal assistance on May 11, 2022.

Cooperation agreement the two countries had signed on 23 August 2022 was also the other topic of the discussion held between the delegation and the justice ministry. Ambassador of Türkiye to Ethiopia, Yaprak Alp was in attendance of the discussion.

The delegation further visited Unity Parks and Headquarters of the Ministery of Justice in Addis Ababa.
