Activities in Ethiopia’s industrial parks are encouraging:  US Foreign Trade Councilors

Addis Ababa March 21, 2023 (FBC) – The American Foreign Trade Councilors stated that the progressive activities in Ethiopia’s industrial parks are encouraging.

According to Industrial Parks Development Corporation of Ethiopia (IPDC) the Foreign Trade Affairs Counselors of the American Embassy in Ethiopia toured manufacturing activities underway at Hawassa Industrial Park.

IPDC added that during their visit, the councilors toured the industrial park and discussed with the investors operating in the park about the challenges faced due to the termination of AGOA.

More than 22 foreign investors have invested in Hawassa Industrial Park and created permanent and temporary jobs for more than 27,000 citizens, IPDC indicated.
