Addis Ababa city to plant 2m trees tomorrow

Addis Ababa, August 1, 2020 (FBC) –Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa city Engr Takele Uma has called on the community to actively participate in the tree-planting campaign scheduled for tomorrow.

The city administration targets planting 2 million trees on Sunday, Aug.2, 2020.

He urged the city dwellers to take active part in the campaign by adhering to COVID-19 prevention instructions issued by the Ministry of Health and city’s health bureau.

The city administration thus far planted 4.6 million trees out of its 7 million trees target for this year. More than 1 million residents took part in the campaign.
