Addis Ababa starts planting 2M Trees in a daytime

Addis Ababa, August 2, 2020 (FBC) – Addis Ababa has started planting 2 Million Trees in a daytime today.

Fruit and Vegetable plants account for majority of the seedlings being planted in several parts of the capital, Mayor’s Office of Addis Ababa indicated.

Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa, Engineer Takelle Umma together with Supports of Ethiopian Coffee Sport Club fans has planted trees around Jemo area.

Takelle also joined members of Taxi Drivers Associations who have planted hundreds of trees in support of the Green Legacy Initiative the country is undertaking in this summer time.

The Deputy Mayor is expected to plant trees with supports of St. George Sport Club and other segments of the society.

Today’s tree planting campaign is underway in all Sub Cities of Addis Ababa involving hundreds of members of the community, Mayor’s Office stated.
