Addis Ababa, May 12, 2021 (FBC) – Addis Ababa Police announced temporary closure of some streets in connection with the Eid Salah event to take place at Addis Ababa Stadium on Eid al-Fitr. Enclosure of the roads will continue till the Eid Salah to be held at Addis Ababa get completion.
Accordingly, Police said that streets from 22 to Meskel Square, from Wollo Sefer-Meskel Square, from Agona Cinema to Meskel Square, from Meskel Flower to Meskel Square, from Coca-Cola via Supreme Court to Meskel Square, from Berbere Berenda via former 5th Police Station to Meskel Squre will be closed till the end of the Eid Salah at Addis Ababa Stadium.
Furthermore, streets from Mounted Police via Geja neighbourhood to 5th Police Station, from Teklehaymanot to Goma Kuteba, from Atlas to St. Urael Church will be closed from 5:30 AM in the morning, police indicated.
Police urged drivers to seek alternative roads during the time of enclosure.
Extending its best wishes to Muslims on Eid al-Fitr, police urged people to call 011-1-11-01-11 or 991 hotline for any suspicious activity.
