Addis Ababa, September 15, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary to the USA and Chief Negotiator & Advisor on Transboundary Rivers and GERD of Ethiopia, Seleshi Bekele, briefed Inger Andersen, the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), on the tripartite negotiation of GERD and other various issues.
Ambassador Selshi discussed with the Executive Director on Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), the current stage of negotiations, sustainable development and cooperation, and future of the Nile (Abay) River.
