Brazilian sugar firm keen to engage in Ethiopian IPs

Addis Ababa, August 25, 2023 (FBC) – A Brazilian company engaged in sugar processing expressed its desire to start investment in industrial parks in Ethiopia, the Industrial Parks Development Corporation of Ethiopia (IPDC) said. 

The company announced its interest when its representative held a discussion with Chief of Staff of the Ethiopian Industrial Parks Corporation (IPDC), Fitsum Ketema.

During the meeting, Fitsum discussed the detailed investment idea with the representative and pointed out that works will be done to make the investment placed in Debre Berhan Industrial Park.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Brazilian company presented their detailed plan.

They indicated that their company is working on sugar processing in Djibouti and wants to expand its venture in Ethiopia.

Along with this, recently IPDC CEO Aklilu Tadesse, had held a discussion with the Ambassador of Brazil to Ethiopia, Jandyr Ferreira dos Santos.
