‘Children in the Street’ Project launched with 4mln Euros

Addis Ababa, May 12, 2022 (FBC) – SOS Children’s Village has launched a project entitled Children in the Street with more than 4 million Euro to support 9000 Street children in Addis Ababa, Diredawa and Adama cities.

During in the project launching event, Ergogie Tesfaye (PhD) Minister of the FDRE Ministry of Women and Social Affairs stated that a very coordinated intervention that puts together the rehabilitation services with technical and vocational skill development programs has a paramount significance in changing the life of children in a sustainable way.

She also calls up on all stakeholders and partner organizations who are working in child support program to work in coordination so as to change the life of poor and vulnerable children in Ethiopia.

The project is aimed to reduce the number of children on the streets in Ethiopia and bring them to their home from destitute outdoor lives.
