Addis Ababa, June 30, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian Embassy in China attended the launching ceremony of the “Asia-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center” in an event organized by the Beijing city municipal administration at the economic cooperation zone of the newly built Daxing international airport.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Head of Mission Ambassador Dawano Kedir shared his high hopes that the center will serve as a platform where African Countries will showcase their potential as a preferred investment and tourist destination, and promotes trade and production opportunities.
He added that Ethiopia and China share a strong bilateral diplomatic relations – now for more than half a century, based on the principles of mutual respect and mutual benefit.
Furthermore, he mentioned that the Chinese government and companies have immensely contributed to Ethiopia’s infrastructure development and as major source of its Foreign Direct Investment. He also noted that the embassy is ready and committed to work closely with the center.
