Addis Ababa, September 28, 2021 (FBC) – City Council of Addis Ababa has elected Adanech Abiebie as Mayor of the capital. Members of the council unanimously elected Adanech to serve as a mayor Addis Ababa as of September 28, 2021.
Adanech was serving as Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa replacing Engineer Takele Uma who was the first Deputy Mayor in the capital after the reform began in the country.
Addressing the gatherings in the city hall, Adanech has vowed to deliver quality services that will be fitting to the position of the metropolis and demands of its residents.
