Addis Ababa, September 5, 2020 (FBC) – Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ethiopia reached 56,516 after the country reported 1,303 new infections on Friday.
The new cases have been detected out of 23,712 laboratory tests conducted in twenty four hours.
In addition, 24 people succumbed to the virus thereby took the death toll in the country in to 880.
According to the Ministry of Health 329 patients have recovered from the disease and increased the number of recoveries in to 20,612.
There are currently 35, 022 active cases in the country of which 315 are in severe condition.
The nation has so far conducted 994,303 laboratory tests over the last months.
