Council of Ministers passes resolution on a range of issues

Addis Ababa, August 6, 2022 (FBC) – The Council of Ministers has discussed a range of issues and passed resolution accordingly, the Office of the Prime Minister stated.

According the Office, the Council deliberated on a draft bill to regulate structure, power and function of Petroleum and Energy Authority, and decided to make effective the law after it is published on the Federal Negarit Gazette.

The council also discussed the draft bill to revise the National Payment System Proclamation in the light of the ongoing reforms, and approved the law and referred it to the House of Peoples Representatives for further approval.

Council discussed draft bills of financial loan agreements with Government of Italy and International Development Association, and approved the proclamations and sent them to the house for endorsement. Council further discussed on the draft law to revise the Federal Income Tax proclamation, and passed a resolution accordingly and referred the bill to the parliament for approval.
