Dam filling overcomes injustices against Ethiopia’s rights on Nile River: Former PM

Addis Ababa, July 23, 2020 (FBC) – Former Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn said the first phase of GERD filling has overcome injustices which were against nation’s rights on Nile River.

In his exclusive interview with FBC, Hailemariam noted that the triumph Ethiopia achieved over the Grand Renaissance Dam is a result of its diplomatic efforts laden with wisdom and amicability.

Hailemariam recalled offences from Egyptian leaders ranging from beating of war drums to pleading international organizations to reject Ethiopia’s rights on Nile Rivers.

The current historic filling of the dam is a reward bestowed up on Ethiopia in return to its longstanding diplomatic endeavors characterized by its fair and reasonable stance regarding unitization of the River Nile Waters, former prier underscored.
