Addis Ababa, February 17, 2023 (FBC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen had a meeting today with JANG SUNG MIN, Special Envoy of the President of South Korea and Senior Secretary for Future Strategy in the Office of the President, on issues of mutual concern.
DPM & FM Demeke said that Ethiopia attaches great importance to its relations with Korea and expressed the warm feelings and friendship of the people and Government of Ethiopia to the people and Government of South Korea.
The two sides noted that the bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and South Korea is bonded by blood, considering Ethiopia’s support for its Korean compatriots during the Korean War.
They further agreed that the longstanding ties should be further strengthened through development cooperation, trade, and investment.
