Addis Ababa, September 1, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise (ESLSE) announced that it has earned 51 billion birr this year.
CEO Roba Megersa said the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Enterprise handled most of Ethiopia’s multimodal ocean freight during the concluded budget year.
The revenue has shown a 128% increase compared to last year. ESLSE has transported more than 3.6 million tons of cargo and registered a net profit of 3 billion birr.
ESLSE said that it working to capture more cargo volume, reduce operational inefficiency, expand cross trading in markets outside Ethiopia, and reorganize itself to allow for strategic investment partnerships.
ESLSE provides shipping services, arranges the transfer of goods, operates logistics hubs and centers. “Improving the efficiency of ESLSE will be essential both as an enabler of competition but also as a source of growth,” the Ethiopian Investment holdings said.
