Addis Ababa, July 15, 2020 (FBC) – Ministry of Health has confirmed 294 additional coronavirus cases and 51 recoveries over the last twenty four hours. The Ministry stated that 5,186 laboratory tests have been conducted over the last day.
The number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 8,475, the Ministry indicated.
According to the Ministry, 2 individuals have died from the virus over the last twenty four hours taking the death toll to 148.
Out of the total confirmed cases 209 are identified from Addis Ababa, whereas the remaining 31 are from Tigray, 20 from Gambella, 13 from Oromia, 9 from Amhara, 6 from Afrar, 4 from Somali regional states and 6 from Dire Dawa City Administration.
The newly recovered 51 patients have taken the total number of recoveries to 4,768.
There are currently 3,557 active cases in the country of which 36 are receiving treatment in intensive care units.
