Ethiopia rolls out adult literacy digital information system for continental usage

Addis Ababa, April 29, 2021 (FBC) – Ministry of Education has today inaugurated a new digital information system named “Moja” to back the adult literacy programme with technology.

The new technology is said instrumental to exchange information within African countries at a continental level and upload up-to-date references as online sources.

Adult Literacy and Informal Education Director General at Ministry of Education, Mohammed Abubeker said that the new technology would help create link among countries and facilitate experience sharing platform for professionals.

He added that through the new information system will help to share African indigenous teaching methods among countries and exchange findings of researches conducted at the continent level.

DVV International Ethiopia Director, Eshetu Abate attributes the name “Moja” to the English word union, and stresses importance of the technology to forge partnership in between African nations in the adult literacy sector.
