Addis Ababa, May 17, 2021 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde had a meeting with Axel van Trotsenburg, the World Bank Managing Director of Operations, and Hafez Ghanem, the World Bank Vice President for Africa in Paris, France.
Minister of Finance, Ahmed Shide, who attended the meeting, told EBC that the President seized the opportunity to brief the two officials on performance of World Bank-funded infrastructure development projects in Ethiopia.
Moreover, the President provided a briefing to them on how Ethiopia would use the loan it obtains from the bank based on its five-year infrastructure development plan, he said.
According to the Minister, the discussion would help Ethiopia to maintain its cooperation with the bank.
