Addis Ababa, November 15, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopians living in Italy and Greece have embarked on a fundraising program in support of people in need of humanitarian assistance in Ethiopia.
Members of the Ethiopian communities in the two countries are working in partnership with the Embassy in Rome to mobilize more diaspora in the fundraising program.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to Italy, Demitu Hambisa, addressing the preliminary meeting of members of the Diaspora, called for enhanced efforts in line with the increasing humanitarian need in Ethiopia.
Ambassador Demitu appreciated Ethiopians who initiated the fundraising event. “Ethiopians had better stand with the Government more than ever to respond to the current situation in the country” she underlined.
