Former president Mulatu Teshome meets with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Addis Ababa, May 9, 2024 (FBC) – Former president of Ethiopia Mulatu Teshome met on Wednesday with the president of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan  at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

Also the Special envoy of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Mulatu Teshome was joined by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie. During their encounter Mulatu and President Erdogan conferred on a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global issues of common interest.

They have also discussed on the ways to further strengthen the existing bilateral diplomatic relation and partnership between the two countries, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Ankara.

Furthermore, Mulatu also conveyed the message from Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) to President Erdogan.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Taye Atske-Selassie also held a discussion with his Turkish counterpart in Ankara on Wednesday the 8th of May.
