Global Community Intent on Augmenting Humanitarian Support in Ethiopia: FM

Addis Ababa, September 25, 2021 (FBC) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the international community is very concerned to boost humanitarian support in Ethiopia as war is going on in the country.

The Ministry Spokesman Dina Mufti told FBC that Ethiopia’s delegation led by the Deputy Premier & Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen in New York, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, discussed, among others, with the delegations of Norway, Sera Leone, Ireland, Denmark, Gabon, South Sudan and  Kenya.

It thus has helped clear illusions that the countries might have conceived about Ethiopia, and as a result they have shown a move to increase humanitarian support in Ethiopia, Dina noted.

The discussion have also helped to strengthen the ‘African Solutions to African Problems’ which is an Ethiopian initiative, the spokesman said.
