Ministry calls for adherence to prevention measures as nation registers record daily COVID-19 death toll

Addis Ababa, March 14, 2021 (FBC) –Minister of Health, Dr Lia Tadesse has called on the people to adhere to prevention measures as the country recorded a single-day record for deaths linked to the COVID-19.

According to the Ministry of Health, 30 people had died yesterday up from 27 reported on Friday, which is also the second highest single-day record.

“The pandemic is not over and the fight must continue, we need to revitalize our collective efforts to protect our loved ones and ourselves by adhering to the prevention measures,” Dr Lia wrote of her Facebook Page.

The Ministry launched yesterday COVID-19 vaccine across the nation exactly one year after the first case was confirmed.

The country has so far reported 174, 054 COVID-19 cases, with 142,041 recoveries and 2,540 deaths.
