Ministry plans to replace existing curriculum in three years’ time

Addis Ababa, January 18, 2020 (FBC) –The Ministry of Education (MoE) announced plans to replace the existing curriculum within the coming three years.

A ten-year education roadmap had already been prepared to replace it, said Eshetu Asfaw, curriculum development and implementation director at MoE.

The new curriculum will deal with challenges identified in the sector, including ethical problems of students, he said at a related consultative forum.

Experts from regional education bureaus, teachers from primary and secondary schools as well as universities attended the forum.
