Muslims need to support the poor, needy people during Eid al-Fitr: Haji Ibrahim

Addis Ababa, April 7, 2024 (FBC) – President of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council, Haji Ibrahim Tufa urged Muslims to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in peace and solidarity.

Haji Ibrahim gave briefings to the media in connection with the 1445th Eid al-Fitr, the end of the grand fasting month of Ramadan.

Haji Ibrahim said that Muslims should celebrate the Eid al-Fitr by giving alms to the poor and needy people.

Eid al-Fitr must also be celebrated in peace, unity and brotherhood, Haji Ibrahim added.

ENA quoted Haji Ibrahim as saying “The faithful should give priority to maintain peace and foster brotherhood among the people during the holiday.”

In this regard, Islamic Affairs Supreme Council President further called upon the faithful to play their part in maintaining the peace and stability of the country.
