Addis Ababa, January 12, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed receives AUC Chair Moussa Faki Mahamat, Executive Secretary of IGAD Workeneh Gebeyehu and members of the diplomatic corps in the newly developed Wanchi – Dendi Eco Tourism Village.

The Prime Minister has so far stated that Wanchi has always existed as a pristine gift of nature.

In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that it is our duty though to receive nature’s blessing and add value.

He confirmed that in the process of developing the Wenchi-Dandi Eco Tourism Village between 8,000 to 12,000 jobs have been created during the construction phase.

Massive infrastructure has been introduced including 43kms access roads, 35km of road lights and power supply, a 72mts long crossing bridge and construction of a school, the Premier said.

“Youth in the community are seizing the economic benefits of what such large scale development introduces and the community at large has now greater opportunities,” he noted.
