PM Abiy discusses with the World Bank president David Malpass

Addis Ababa, December 14, 2022 (FBC) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, held a substantive discussion with the World Bank Group President, David Malpass.

On the margins of the U.S-Africa Leaders’ Summit in Washington, DC, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and David Malpass discussed on ways to support Ethiopia’s comprehensive economic reforms.

After his meeting with the World Bank Group chief, Prime Minister Abiy stated on his social media post that the return of peace is a chance to accelerate the Ethiopian economic transformation agenda that enhance productivity and job creation.

Earlier, the Premier also held productive discussions with the Managing Director of IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, the U.S Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, the US National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, and other officials from the USA and international organizations.

It is known that PM Abiy, alongside his delegation, is participating in the 2022 U.S.-Africa Leaders’ Summit in Washington, DC.
