PM Abiy thanks all ‘Clean Streets – Healthy Lives’ telethon participants

Addis Ababa, April 28, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) expressed his gratitude to all participants of the ‘Clean Streets – Healthy Lives’ digital telethon for their financial contributions to the ‘Clean Ethiopia’ initiative.

The Prime Minister, in expressing his appreciation to all who responded to his call to the new initiative and provided financial contribution through the digital telethon initiated today, remarked, “I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who has joined the ‘Clean Streets – Healthy Lives’ digital telethon today. We are colorful when we come together for a collective cause.”

He also extended his call to those who have not yet participated, urging them to join the ‘Clean Ethiopia’ digital telethon today and in the forthcoming days and weeks. He added, “Together, we can create a substantial impact.”

Recall that on Friday April 26, the Prime Minister unveiled the ‘Clean Ethiopia’ initiative under the theme “Clean Cities – Healthy Lives” and urged all Ethiopians to contribute to the creation of cities that are conducive for everyone. The initiative aimed at constructing modern, hygienic, and dignified public restrooms.

Earlier today, the Office of the Prime Minister announced the launch of a digital telethon for “Clean Ethiopia” initiative. Responding to the Prime Minister’s call for the initiative, senior government officials have joined today the digital telethon and contributed to the cause.
