President of Kenya touches down in Addis Ababa ahead of AU Summit

Addis Ababa, February 16, 2024 (FBC) – William Ruto, President of Kenya arrived at Bole International Airport this evening for the 37th AU Summit.

Upon his arrival at Bole International Airport, the Kenyan president was welcomed by Ergoge Tesfaye, Minister of Women and Social Affairs.

Meanwhile, Mohamed al-Menfi, Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya has also arrived in the Ethiopian capital for the 37th AU Summit.

Earlier, the President of South Afeica Cyril Ramaphosa, President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh, Prime Minister of Tunisia Ahmed Hachani, and President of Burundi Évariste Ndayishimiye, among others arrived in Addis Ababa for the AU Summit.

Furthermore, President of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Felix Tshisekedi, President of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina, President of Mozambique Filipe Nyusi, and Vice-President of the Republic of Seychelles Ahmed Afif arrived in Addis Ababa this evening to take part in the 37th AU Summit.
