Addis Ababa, November 15, 2021 (FBC) – Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Evgeny Terekhin has paid a courtesy call on the General Secretary of the Prosperity Party Adem Farah.
Ambassador Evgeny Terekhin congratulated Adem on his appointment to the new position.
During the conversation, prospects of interaction between the ruling parties of the two countries; the All-Russian political party “United Russia” and the Ethiopian Prosperity Party were discussed in detail.
The parties noted that this interaction is actively developing on the basis of the Cooperation Agreement signed in Mach this year in Addis Ababa.
A significant role in this process was played by the participation of the Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in the International Interparty Conference “Russia-Africa”, which took place in March this year.
The two expressed confidence that the further development of inter-party cooperation could become an important element of the entire complex of multifaceted Russian-Ethiopian relations at the present stage.
