Russian Embassy in Ethiopia says the situation in Addis Ababa remains calm

Addis Ababa, November 25, 2021 (FBC) – The Press Service of the Embassy of Russia in Ethiopia, in a statement, said the situation in Addis Ababa remains calm.

The introduction of a state of emergency has not brought any significant changes to the everyday rhythm of life of the Ethiopian capital, the Embassy said.

The exclusion, perhaps, represents increased security of important facilities including government buildings and the airport. Security forces are patrolling the city streets as per the activities to preserve security, the statement indicates.

The Embassy continues to operate as usual, the evacuation of employees or members of their families is not planned, and Bole International Airport is operating as usual, the Embassy stated.

It is to be recalled that the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Administration recently stated, flights over the country are safe.
