Addis Ababa, April 14, 2024 (FBC) – This week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the Third Session of Ethiopia’s BRICS Senior Officials’ Technical Committee.
The senior officials, hailing from diverse governmental institutions, convened to review the proposal for Ethiopia’s draft BRICS engagement strategy, as well as to assess the levels of participation of Ethiopian institutions in the BRICS activities.
The Committee also deliberated extensively on expediting Ethiopia’s seamless integration into the BRICS arrangements, advancing Ethiopia’s national interests, and contributing to the consolidation of the BRICS platform.
Note that Ethiopia’s BRICS membership is a testament to the nation’s resolute determination to expand its economic opportunities, propel its economic growth, and further strengthen the principles of multilateralism, as per MFA Ethiopia.
