Terrorist TPLF demolished Ziquala’s Qedamit health center and schools

Addis Ababa, September 12, 2022 (FBC) – The terrorist TPLF continues its atrocities by looting and dismantling Ziquala District’s public health centers in its recent attack on Wag-Hemra Zone, Amhara region.

The terrorist group, war, as its natural instinct, continues demolishing and plundering public health service institutions and infrastructures, displacing and killing civilians and their cattle, and burning farms and villages in the neighboring regions.

In doing so, the terrorist group has demonstrated its hatred and contempt for the people in the areas it invaded.

Corroborated evidence from the Ethiopian national defense force confirmed that the terrorist TPLF brutally killed innocent people during the raid in Qedamit town of Wag-Hemra Zone, and it looted the medical equipment and devastated the infrustructre of the public health centers.

In addition to the health centers, TPLF destroyed the town’s primary and secondary schools.

One of the residents of Qedamit town, Sahle Wolde, confirmed that when the terrorist TPLF invaded their town, its combatants burned everything, including beds of patients in the health center and other infrustructures, to ashes.

He also attested that the rest of the properties of the health center were taken by TPLF’s militants.

Another resident of the town, a teacher, named Lakew Birru, revealed that the terrorist TPLF had even torn apart public utility facilities and used them for cooking and building forts.

The deputy administrator and head of health service office of Zequala district, Estifanos Wondaye, said that the terrorist TPLF has committed serious atrocities against the people during its invasion to six counties in the area.

The official stressed that the health centers must be built from scratch in order to resume their normal public services.

He called on government and non-governmental organizations to provide unceasing support to rebuild these public service facilities.
