Upper house announces readiness for capacity building reform program

Addis Ababa, October 31, 2020 (FBC) – The House of Federation announced readiness to undertake comprehensive capacity building reform program aims to realizing better service delivery system.

The house is holding a consultative forum involving higher officials, researchers and various stakeholders focused on ways improving its service delivery system.

The capacity building reform will help the house exercise its constitution based duties and responsibilities; it is indicated on the forum.

Speaker of the House, Adem Farah said the reform focuses on four critical areas; building multinational unity and sustainable peace, achieving successful fiscal transformation, and ensuring equitable allocation of resources.

The reform is needed to bridge some performance gaps in the house, the speaker added.

Studies focused on supremacy of the constitution, constitutionalism, nation building and other areas have been presented by Scholars of Addis Ababa University, and undergone detailed discussions accordingly.
