Addis Ababa, February 17, 2023 (FBC) – Mesganu Arga, State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, conferred with Mary Catherine Phee, Assistant Secretary of State for USA Bureau of African Affairs, this afternoon.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, they discussed ways to further strengthen Ethiopia-US relations.
State Minister Mesganu briefed the Assistant Secretary about the continued rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts of conflict-ridden areas in Northern Ethiopia following the signing of the Pretoria Peace Agreement. He said tremendous strides have been made in the implementation of the Pretoria peace agreement.
The Assistant Secretary also expressed USA’s interest to further expand the multifaceted bilateral relations with Ethiopia. “Our partnership with Ethiopia is very important to us,” she said.
