Authority rolls out coffee contract administration software

Addis Ababa, December 26, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority has officially launched a Coffee Contract Administration Software with a view to transform the transaction system.

The newly coffee contract administration software minimizes the long running transaction process in to 5 minutes, it is stated on the inaugural ceremony.

According to the authority, the software also eliminates undesirable value chains and modernizes the coffee transaction process.

The software will also have a crucial significance to effectively manage the Cup of Excellence Auction Ethiopia is going to host this year, according to the authority.

Minister of Agriculture Oumer Hussein and Director General of the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority Dr. Adugna Debela presided of the inauguration event.

Officials also inaugurated Coffee quality control, testing and Barista Center in Addis Ababa yesterday.

The software is build with a financial budget secured from United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
