Canada vows support to Ethiopia’s efforts to ensure economic resiliency, sustainable peace

Addis Ababa, April 13, 2022 (FBC) – Canadian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Stéphane Jobin stated that his country is committed to support Ethiopia’s efforts to ensure economic resiliency and sustainable peace.

Ambassador Stéphane Jobin reaffirmed readiness of Canada to further strengthen its longstanding bilateral relationship with Ethiopia. Saying that his country is supporting various development endeavors in Ethiopia, the Ambassador added that Canada is keen to support Ethiopia in overcoming its current challenges.

Canada is interested particularly in assisting undergoing activities in Ethiopia in order to realize strong women led economy and health system in the country citing the foreign policy of his country as a guideline for such commitment.

He expressed his conviction that the ongoing National Dialogue in Ethiopia would help ensure national consensus and sustainable peace in the country, pledging support of his country to this end.
