China vows to promote agricultural cooperation with Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, August 5, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador Teshome Toga discussed with Ms. Lin Huifang, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center at Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on ways of further strengthening Ethiopia – China Agricultural Cooperation.

During the discussion, Ambassador Teshome noted that the Ethiopian government, under its ten years National Development Plan, has made agricultural development its priority and highlighted on the strong cooperation Ethiopia and China have in the sector.

He add that Agricultural Development Program is one of the nine priority goals given due attention under the Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) framework.

Ms. Lin Huifang on her part reiterated that China will continue to support Ethiopia in agricultural investments, technical cooperation, product promotion, and in many other related areas.
