City vows support to private companies interested to engage in housing sector

Addis Ababa, February 21, 2021 (FBC) – Addis Ababa City Administration has pledged support to private companies that are interested to engage in housing development in the capital.

Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa, Adanech Abiebie has today inaugurated 624 housing units built be Tracon Trading with an outlay of 2.6 Billion Birr.

It needs engagement of the private sector in addition to government’s efforts underway to address shortage if housing in Addis Ababa, the Deputy Mayor said.
On the occasion, Deputy Mayor Adanech reaffirmed commitment of the city administration of Addis Ababa to procide any necessary support including allotment of land to those are interested to invest in housing sector.

The City Administration has availed thousands of hectares of land for private companies that showed interest to take part in housing construction sector.
